Introducing the Modke Mimic

The hybrid input system built around your anatomy, designed to make advanced mechanics feel natural to you.

Find your StickPrint™

Once connected to your keyboard, the Mimic’s adjustable neck lets you bring the stick exactly where your thumb wants it, unlocking the full biomechanical advantages of natural thumb movement and control.

At the same time, because the Mimic hovers above the keyboard at your StickPrint™, every finger retains full access to every row. For players coming from other joystick mods, access to the QWERTY and 1–5 number row is restored, even with smaller hands.

StickPrint™ is the foundation of the Mimic. It defines your exact, unique thumb position and makes everything else feel right, from new bind frameworks like Drum Binds to long-session comfort and biomechanically efficient joystick control.

Introducing Drum Binds

With the Mimic preserving full keyboard access while offloading movement to the joystick, keybinds for mechanically demanding games can be completely reimagined.

Drum Binds are a new bind framework built around how your fingers naturally move under pressure. In-game actions you commonly perform back to back are mapped in sequence, allowing your fingers to drum across neighboring keys in rapid succession and execute complex mechanics as a single, fluid motion.

The result is dramatically higher actions per second and a more aggressive playstyle that feels instinctive instead of forced. More like playing a musical instrument than pressing keys.

Drum Binds are enabled by StickPrint™ and refined through repetition. Join our Discord to explore and iterate on Modke’s Drum Binds for Fortnite, Arc Raiders, and beyond.

Biomechanics-Driven Ergonomics

The Mimic’s palm rest is designed to support the left side of your palm without trapping the thumb. By allowing the muscular pad at the base of the thumb, the thenar eminence, to naturally hang over the edge, the thumb stays free to manipulate the joystick with optimal biomechanics.

Combined with StickPrint™, this positioning places the thumbstick at the ideal contact point at the tip of the thumb, allowing the DIP joint to remain naturally bent through the full range of joystick movement. A bent DIP joint is critical for fast, precise joystick control and long-session comfort. When the joint stays engaged instead of locked or stretched, reactions feel quicker, more athletic, and more controlled.

The design adapts across hand sizes and creates a familiar feel similar to gripping the left side of a controller, but tailored precisely to your individual hand.

You have to feel it to believe it.

Built for Players who care about the details

Designed for Wooting

The Mimic is engineered specifically around Wooting keyboards, using a purpose-built connector key that integrates directly with the keyboard.

Compatible with Wooting 60HE, 60HE V2, and Wooting Two HE.

If you’d like to see support for other keyboards, let us know in our Discord. Connector development is driven directly by player feedback.

Plug and Play

The Mimic is a standard XInput device that works immediately when you plug it in. No proprietary drivers, required software, or background services.

For customization, our Web Utility is available through Discord. We also provide lifetime reWASD access for players who want advanced remapping. Out of the box, the Mimic just works and stays out of your way.

Two Rules of Thumb

A bent thumb reacts faster.

A naturally bent thumb stores tension, allowing quicker and more precise reactions. It feels responsive and satisfying, like your thumb is primed instead of stretched or locked.

Control comes from the tip.

Keeping your thumbtip glued to the center of the thumbstick improves consistency and fine motor control. Rapid adjustments feel effortless. It’s a dopamine hit for your left hand.

StickPrint™ was designed to let your left hand mimic the same athletic claw grip your right hand already uses on the mouse. This bilateral symmetry helps players enter and maintain flow more consistently.

Joystick + Full Keyboard Access

The Mimic hovers above the keyboard at your StickPrint™ location, staying out of the way of everyday typing while preserving full access to every row during competitive play.

Game, type, and move between the two seamlessly with no repositioning or adjustments. The palm rest is designed to work the same way for daily typing and high-intensity gaming.

Drift-Free by Design

GuliKit hall-effect thumbsticks use contactless sensors to deliver long-term precision without stick drift. The thumbsticks are replaceable and include Corepad PXP grip material, letting you fine-tune feel and traction to your preference.

Will the Mimic be available in my country?

Our first production batch ships to the United States and Canada only. We plan to expand international shipping once initial fulfillment is complete.

Which keyboards does the Mimic work with?

The Mimic works with any keyboard and functions as a standard XInput joystick when plugged into your Windows PC. At launch, a locked, integrated connection is available for the Wooting 60HE, Wooting 60HE V2, and Wooting Two HE using our patent-pending connector key designed specifically for those keyboards. With other keyboards, the Mimic can still be positioned and used normally, but only Wooting keyboards currently offer a secured, integrated mounting solution. If you would like to see connector support for another keyboard, let us know in our Discord. Connector development is driven directly by player feedback.

Where can I ask questions or learn more?

Our Discord is the best place to ask questions, share setups, and learn more about StickPrint™, Drum Binds, and Mimic configuration.

You can also reach us directly at launch@modke.com.

Is there a learning curve?

There is a short adjustment period when switching key binds. Most players adapt quickly once they find their StickPrint™. For players transitioning from console to KBM, the Mimic often shortens that learning curve by preserving familiar joystick movement while introducing the flexibility of full keyboard access.

Our Discord is where players share setups, tips, and advice to help speed up the transition.

Do I need to change all my keybinds to use the Mimic?

Yes.

The Mimic is designed for full optimization of both ergonomics and keybinds. Keeping binds that were created around WASD or other joystick mods defeats the purpose of the system.

Is the Mimic comfortable for long gaming sessions?

Yes. The Mimic is designed around thumb biomechanics and natural hand posture, allowing the thumb to stay relaxed and supported instead of stretched or locked.

When positioned at your StickPrint™, most players find they can game for hours without thumb or hand fatigue.

Will the Mimic slide around during play?

No. When used with a supported Wooting keyboard, the Mimic locks securely into place using a patent pending rail system and connector key.

Once positioned, it stays fixed during aggressive movement and high-intensity play.

Is the Mimic legal to use in competitive games?

Yes. The Mimic presents itself as a standard XInput controller and does not use macros, automation, or input manipulation.

From a game’s perspective, it functions the same way as a controller.

What games does the Mimic work with?

The Mimic works out of the box with PC games that support native 360° movement alongside mouse input, such as Fortnite and Call of Duty.

For games that do not support this input method, the Mimic can be remapped to replace WASD using reWASD. Modke partners with reWASD to support these games.

Does the Mimic require software or drivers?

No. The Mimic is a standard XInput device and works immediately when you plug it in. There are no proprietary drivers, required software, or background services.

An optional Web Utility is available through our Discord if you want to adjust settings such as forward direction, calibration, strafe angles, dead zones, or sensitivity curves. The Mimic’s default settings are optimized out of the box for competitive Fortnite.

We also partner with reWASD to support games without lock input capabilities (like Arc Raiders).
